Czechia delivered a commanding performance in the Junior Women’s Water Polo Basic Round, defeating Scotland 24–7 in a match that showcased clinical finishing and relentless pressure from the home side.
From the opening whistle, Czechia asserted dominance, racing to a 7–2 lead in the first quarter. Scotland managed to respond through Lucy MacNair and Rosa Green, but Czechia’s attacking depth proved overwhelming. Lucie Bakalová was unstoppable, scoring eight goals and setting the tone for her team’s offensive display.
The second quarter saw Czechia extend their advantage to 14–5, despite a spirited fightback from Scotland. Neve Duncan struck three times in the first half, keeping Scotland competitive, while Giulia Baldi and Elena Sands added late goals in the second half.
