It’s that time of the year again when the West Cup will be contested by the Senior Male and Senior Female teams from the West of Scotland.
The Female tournament which has been up and running since 2019 when Western Baths won the first ever West Cup for women. Kirkintilloch & Kilsyth have won every other staging of the Cup with wins in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Will Kirkintilloch & Kilsyth make it four in a row or will Stirling or Western lift the cup this year?
The Male & Open tournament has been running since 1886 and is the oldest water polo cup tournament still played in the World. Stirling Water Polo have had a strangle hold on the cup however will Western be able to pull of a dramatic win or will newcomers, the University of Strathclyde, hold the key to unlock a win in the final.
